About this project

SEAM is piloting a confidential Modern Slavery Assessment for a real estate investment manager that reports to an Australian reporting entity under the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018. The project applies relevant SEAM Standard Activities to evaluate how the investment manager identifies, documents, and addresses modern slavery risk across its fund structure, acquisition process, and future asset operations. This work provides practical reporting inputs for the Australian reporting entity while testing how SEAM can verify a focused subset of modern slavery-related requirements. The pilot is informing the creation of the SEAM Modern Slavery Assessment Endorsement, a limited-scope certification mark that recognizes completion of a defined subset of the full SEAM Certification framework.
