About this project
SEAM is applying its built environment community development framework to the Liberia Mental Health Infrastructure Initiative led by T2S C.A.R.E.S., using the project as a pilot to inform the creation of SEAM's Community Development Endorsement. The work translates SEAM's Activity-based approach into practical guidance for identifying impacted parties, defining the social area of influence, documenting local needs and baseline conditions, supporting credible community input, and connecting that input to mental health infrastructure planning. The pilot also includes the volunteer component of the endorsement, examining how volunteer participation can be structured around a clear community-centered goal, aligned with local context, and documented for measurable contribution rather than treated as a one-time service activity.
